Philippine wedding keepsakes

In looking for ideas in creating Philippine wedding keepsakes, what you need to remember is that you don’t have to look for fanciful objects and symbols. Most of the times, even a simple a note of thank-you or a picture of the couple can suffice. Below are some of brilliant ideas in making the occasion a memorable experience for the couple and guests alike.

Lovebirds. You can opt for the real thing, but that would be costly. In most Philippine wedding celebrations, lovebirds can be in the form of mute animals perched on a small hand-woven basket or chirping over a deep water well. Symbols such as hearts, the words I love you, or Thank you can be added for maximum effect.

Bonsai. Bonsai are trees that have been cultured to inhibit their growth. In effect, they are no more than half a foot in length. They can be really great gifts to be given away in a Philippine wedding, as Filipinos (the people in the Philippines) are known to keep a small garden at the back of their houses.

Figurines. You can carve a figure of a deity (Aphrodite perhaps, or Cupid aiming his bow and arrow at someone) made from bronze, synthetics, or marble.
